Assessment of patient safety culture in Brazilian hospitals through HSOPSC: a scoping review

ABSTRACT Objectives: to describe, from literature, the characteristics of patient safety culture in Brazilian hospitals that applied Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture. Methods: this is a scoping review. A search was performed databases LILACS, PubMed, SciELO, CINAHL, Web Science, Scopus and CAPES Dissertations Theses Database September October 2020. Results: thirty-six studies were identified. Nine identified strengthened areas such as: “teamwork within units”, “expectations supervisor/boss actions promoting safety”, “organizational learning”, “support hospital management for safety” “frequency report events”. As critical area, dimension “non-punitive response error” evidenced 30 36 studies. Conclusions: identification strength relevant encourage improvement problems an institution.
